Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Life House Center Supervisor and the Program Manager for the Atascadero Wellness Centers, the Assistant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the supervision and coordination of staff, offering of mental wellness programs, and upkeep of facilities that provide wellness and recovery support, health education, social connectivity and community connection for adults. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining peer led services that empower individuals in recovery while fostering self-respect, dignity, and self-determination. The Assistant Supervisor must be capable of assuming program duties in the absence of the Center Supervisor. This position promotes a trauma-informed environment, with a focus on wellness, recovery, empowerment, and advocacy for participants. The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for having knowledge and skills in all aspects of the Wellness Center and will uphold and promote the Wellness Center philosophy as well as the philosophy of TMHA in all duties performed.

Job Environment:

- Position immediately supervises one or more employees and supports the team approach to meeting program objectives.
Hours/Salary
Part-Time, 28 hours per week, Monday-Friday, occasional evenings and weekends
Anticipated hiring range is $18.00-$20.00 per hour, includes a generous individual benefits package.

Experience and Skills:
Minimum Requirements
Completion of High School or equivalent. Some college coursework, and experience in a mental health/social service setting preferred. Daily Medi-Call Documentation and billing is mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative work style and strong oral/written and communication skills. Must be responsible, and reliable, and possess problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Well defined organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and flexibly. Ability to handle intense situations, display good judgment and decision-making skills, and remain calm and clearheaded under pressure. Able to work effectively with a variety of people and personality types regardless of age, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression or socio-economic level. Must use reasonable precautions in the performance of one’s duties and adhere to all applicable safety rules and practices while acting in such a manner as to assure at all times, maximum safety to one’s self, fellow employees, clients, and other persons contacted through TMHA business. This position provides some flexibility for occasional remote work via teleconferencing Conditions of employment include: must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA Driver’s License, minimum of 2 years driving experience, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. May be required to utilize personal vehicle and auto insurance. Comply with a T.B. assessment (possibly a TB test if needed to confirm a negative tuberculosis result) and receipt of a criminal record clearance through fingerprinting. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
