Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Provide support for Advanced Operations team, including NPI Engineering and Sustaining Engineering functions.
• Develop prototype parts and conduct feasibility testing of new and existing product designs.
• Document product designs and manufacturing fixtures by constructing basic solid models and drawings using SolidWorks (on the job training provided).
• Assist in executing test protocols and reports in support of product verification testing.
• Perform basic data collection and documentation of test results in lab notebook.
• Perform other TransMedics tasks and duties as required.
  
  

Skills/Requirements

• Enrolled in STEM based curriculum with an interest in engineering
• Experience with 3D modeling and drafting, SolidWorks preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Office software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to execute tasks and procedures from written protocols
• Able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
