Position Summary: The position of Project Coordinator is a key player at TransPerfect. Project Coordinators execute all language/translation projects from the start to the finish and serve as a single point of accountability for their successful completion. Individuals in this entry level role are more inclined to stick in a Project Management-oriented career path (working to become an Executive or Senior Project Manager or a Management-oriented career (working to become a Team Lead or Department Manager, for instance).
OVERVIEW
The Senior Benefits Assistant will work closely with the benefits team to assist with administering and maintaining the company’s benefit programs in accordance with ERISA, ACA, and Section 125, leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state and local laws and short-term or long-term disability plans.
DESCRIPTION
- Assist with employee benefit and leave inquiries via email, phone, and in person as needed, becoming a trusted resource for employees.
- Maintain employee benefits eligibility with insurance carriers and within Workday.
- Process new enrollments and terminations in the appropriate benefit systems.
- Assist with the monthly billing and funding process.
- Audit benefits bills on a monthly basis compared to Workday enrollments; prepare and submit bills for payment.
- Maintain employee benefits files
- Schedule and host New Hire Benefits Orientation meetings
- Assist with annual open enrollment period.
- Assist with administering and maintaining company benefit programs not limited to group health, dental, short-term and long-term disability, basic life and AD&D, and flexible spending accounts.
- Assist with leave requests that are not qualified under any state or federal program.
- Handle the FMLA leave administration process from an employee’s initial notice of need for leave to their return to work.
- Facilitate additional leave requests that are outside state and federal programs, including leaves as an accommodation under the ADA.
- Maintain knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including FMLA, and state and local regulations.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookups) required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in Human Resources or Benefits Administration.
- Knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal requirements of FMLA, ADA and other applicable laws.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficient in Workday system (preferred).
