As a factory-authorized dealer for Thermo King Corporation, Espar Heating Systems, and Red Dot Corporation, we provide high-quality, value-oriented products and services to the trucking, transit, and off-highway industries. We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead our team in Oak Creek, WI!
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is a vital member of our management team and is responsible for the efficient and successful oversight of our service and parts departments. This role focuses on overall productivity, quality control, and the safety of our associates, acting as a company representative to both internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities:
- Dynamic leader dedicated to helping associates reach their full potential
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Oversee daily operations of the Service and Parts departments while facilitating growth
- Engage in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster strong relationships with local customers
- Interviewing, hiring, and training new and existing associates
- Maintains technician training requirements for the location
- Performs the onboarding of new associates, which includes Hazardous Material training.
- Manages the Safety program, which includes: SDS Sheets, performing safety inspections, and ensuring safety rules are being followed
- Conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and implementing corrective action plans
- Motivates and rewards associates for a job well done
- Oversees the maintenance of grounds, buildings, and equipment
- Lead weekly staff meetings and location shop meetings
- Authorizes and tracks associate vacation schedules, arranges the "On Call" schedules, and approves time cards
- Coordinates and processes internal warranties and maintenance request forms submitted by associates
- Ensures all company vehicles receive routine and proper maintenance, with annual DOT inspections conducted. Vehicles are kept clean.
- Cross-trains in other positions to be a backup if needed, i.e. Service Writer
- Receives payment from C.O.D. customers
- Participates in sales calls with the sales department when it can enhance business growth or strengthen customer relationships
Job Qualifications:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Completion of high school education, relevant vocational training, or a comparable combination of education and experience
- Prior experience managing Service and/or Parts departments at Truck, Trailer, Heavy Equipment, or Ag Equipment Dealership
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 programs: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote
- Ability to quickly learn and use company-specific software
- Strong focus on safety. OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or OSHA 511 Course Certificates preferred
- Proficient in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating percentages and fractions
- Strong verbal communication skills for one-on-one interactions and phone conversations
- Capable of writing clear and informative performance reviews, reports, and other business communications
- Shows consideration and respect toward internal and external customers.
- Highly motivated to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Collaborative team player willing to work with others.

- Exhibit strong leadership skills; experience successfully supervising and directing teams
