Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking a reliable, hard-working and experienced Lead Technician to join our fleet service team.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must have experience in the field as a technician and/or supervisor
- Completion of a high school education or equivalent
- Must hold a clean and valid drivers license
- Must possess a toolbox and required tools
As a Lead Tech you will:
- Manage the shift which includes standard repair times being met, scheduling of work, quality of work performed by technicians, meeting customers repair or install deadlines, communicating work completed or not completed with next shift
- Assign work to technicians
- Answer phones for service department and assist customer with needs
- Creating work orders
- Ensure associates are working safely and policies and procedures are followed

Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and the ability to diagnose problems with the units which included but not limited to:
o Use of OEM software to diagnose issues, read codes, clear codes, download
o Ability to read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and wiring schematics
o Ability to use multi-meter to perform electrical diagnostics
o Ability to program microprocessor
o Proper use of reclaiming machine to recover and recycle refrigerant
o Proficient in soldering all types of joints and tubes
- General repairs on trucks - coolant system, fuel system, electrical system, drive train, brakes, and suspension. Perform cab air conditioning maintenance and repairs, which includes proper use of air conditioning recovery machine
- Perform PM services on trailers, refrigeration units, and APU units
- FHWA/DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
- Perform brake replacement on trucks and trailers
- Repair trailer ABS brake system
- Perform tire repairs and replacement on trucks and trailers
- Perform body, structural, rear door and electrical repairs on trailers
- Perform interior and exterior trailer washes
- Perform APU repair
- Meet standard repair times for jobs performed
- Performs road service work
- Service and repair of company vehicles
- Operates company and customer vehicles, fork lifts, hoists and tools
- Maintains a clean shop and work area
- Maintains confidentiality of all company information
- Maintains Transport and Customer standards and policies
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
