Who we want on our team:
Our schedulers and medical assistants are the first line of contact when patients are seeking our services. Their role is extremely important, as they connect patients to nurse practitioners (NPs) for Annual Health Assessment appointments, which aids in improved health outcomes. We're looking for someone who has several years of patient scheduling experience. If you are a professional individual with an upbeat personality, are caring and compassionate about your work, and you pride yourself in providing excellent customer service- We want to speak with you! We are looking for a team player, who wants to grow with us!
Job Duties:
In this role, you will spend your days contacting and helping geriatric patients, by scheduling a visit with our Nurse Practitioners for a clinic appointment, home visit, or video appointment. You will also be assisting our Nurse Practitioners during appointments, and providing additional MA support when needed for flu shots, screenings, etc. Our medical assistants also aid with our translation line, for patients who are not fluent in the English language to ensure we provide the best care. This is not a remote position. You must be able to work at the Wellness Center in Visalia, CA. This is a full-time position. The hours of work and days may vary, with a designated lunch and rest periods as per State laws.

Requirements:
- Proof of a valid MA Certification or Diploma (required)
- Must be able to work at the Visalia, CA site. (It is not a remote position.)
- Previous Patient Scheduling Experience (1 year)
- Back office experience (1 year preferred)
- Data Entry and Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with EHR and EMR systems
- Excellent Verbal Communication
- Active Listening Skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to Multi-task
- Passionate about helping others
- Bilingual in Spanish (Required)
