Benefits Representative and Assistant to the Chief Finance Officer
Transylvania County Schools seeks a Benefits Representative and Assistant to the Chief Finance Officer in Finance. Position is available February 18, 2025. Position is full-time and includes employment benefits; 12-month employment term. Salary: State base salary schedule Grade 68 and Range of $3,469 - $4,384 plus 2% annual local salary supplement.
Applicants for the position must hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or a related field or an equivalent level of work experience.
Description of job duties: Reconcile monthly bank statements. Prepare Journal Entries and make daily deposits. Process positive pays weekly and process direct deposit for payroll. Manage Purchase Cards and enter Purchase Orders. Meet with new employees to go over benefit options. Set up new employees in various benefits softwares. Meet with employees looking to retire. Manage open enrollment, attend webinars, and balance monthly health insurance bills. File paid invoices and POs, prepare checks to be mailed.
