- This position requires 10 years of hands-on experience in Basis Administration
- Requires 10 years of hands-on experience with Unix/Linux operating system, SAN, and Oracle database
- This position will provide experienced, key technical support for the SAP Business System upgrades, maintenance, enhancements, system monitoring and performance tuning of the SAP S/4 HANA systems.
- Support and assistance for the S/4 HANA, SAP CAR, SAP Ariba, SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA Sidecar, SAP GRC and SAP middleware/CPI while working closely with the functional business leads, Business Technology, IT applications, infrastructure, operations and customer support teams supporting SAP
Responsibilities Include:
- Install, maintain, configure, and tune SAP environments to ensure integrity, and stability. Perform daily administration, monitoring, and system health checks. If issues arise, troubleshoot and perform problem analysis and resolution. Assists in continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics and conduct workload analysis. Recommend and implement improvements in a timely manner to ensure optimal performance
- Perform periodic system refreshes and maintain multi-landscape environments through tasks such as system refreshes and transport management. Ensure adherence to configuration management policies and troubleshoot transport errors
- Assist in coordinating small to medium-sized projects. Assist in the planning, designing, and architecting of the SAP landscape. Provide support and perform problem resolution during development and maintenance phases of SAP projects
- Handle, prioritize, and resolve tickets that range from break-fixes to enhancements. Able to troubleshoot high-to-moderate tickets independently. Coordinates and/or handles technical support with business users, as/if needed
- Plan and implement SAP S/4 upgrades (kernel, SPS, EHP, patches) and new implementations as required. Requires collaborating with functional and technical teams
- Trains/assists AMS support BASIS Administrators on tools and techniques used to analyze, configure, test, troubleshoot, and document SAP and SAP related information systems
- Work solely or in concert with others to author requisite documentation to meet a variety of company needs, be it technical support document, text for rate case or project filings, responses to information requests from interveners, cost benefit analyses, department/team strategies, etc
- Participate in an on-call pager rotation and be available for both scheduled and unscheduled work. Provide emergency problem resolution coverage in the event of either a system or database malfunction on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis
- Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned, including any activities required to prepare for such emergency response.
- Working knowledge on Google cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) including Big query
- Working knowledge on Information Security and SAP GRC/Security set up and maintenance
- Worked with Audit teams
- Experience with handling Archiving projects
