WE ARE SEEKING: A well-rounded Senior Mechanical Technician and Fabricator who shares our entrepreneurial energy to support the team’s efforts in developing waste-to-energy commercial products. In your role, your duties and responsibility will include the following:
- Assist in the design support and development of new products from concept to launch with a focus on clean waste technology.
- Time in the field operating, documenting test data, troubleshooting issues, and fixing components as necessary.
- Communicating with management summarizing the performance of the systems they are working.
- Build and test prototype designs for proof of concepts and functional validations.
- Assemble, test, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Develop solutions through the application of engineering principles.
- Build components out of raw material from drawings.
- Operate CNC/manual mill and lathe.
- Utilize hand tools such as plasma cutter, hand roll, grinders, sanders, jigsaws, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
- Cut, fabricate, and weld components.
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Ensure the working environment is clean and safe.
The ideal candidate must be able to meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience or formal trade training.
- Knowledge/general understanding and/or experience with.
- Reading complex drawings.
- Machine shop fabrication experience.
- MIG and TIG Welding experience with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic component and system operations.
- Common material properties and fabrication techniques.
- Hand and power tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- Electromechanical systems such as sensors measuring pressure and vacuum fluid conditions, pumps, and filtration.
- Operation and maintenance of internal combustion engines.
- Maintaining and support a clean and safe working environment and understanding of PPE.
- Ability to conduct basic physical requirements of climbing ladders, work at elevated heights, ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Satisfactory Background Screening.
