Job Summary
As a travel CT Technologist, you will be responsible for utilizing computed tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required.
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
- Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
- Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
- Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
- Must have BLS certification and ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography.
- State-specific licensing may be required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
