Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Buyer who will also run our nursery operations. The ideal person for this role cares deeply about quality and enjoys plants. This person will be managing relationships with our plant vendors, and ensuring that we are securing excellent plants on time for our scheduled jobs.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of plant buying, nursery operations, including plant care and inventory control
- Oversee the procurement of materials and supplies, negotiating with vendors to secure favorable pricing
- Implement effective inventory management systems to track stock levels and optimize product availability
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure we have the correct plants for their jobs
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to enhance materials management strategies
- Monitor plant health and growth, implementing best practices for cultivation and care
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of horticulture practices and plant care techniques
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and materials management strategies
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
- Overtime
