What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Mill Operator position at Travis Industries?
We are currently seeking a qualified operator for our 4-axis CNC Mill. For nearly 40 years, Travis Industries has been designing and building industry leading hearth heating appliances since 1980. We are the largest, privately-owned wood, pellet and gas stove, insert and fireplace company in America and encompasses four high-quality brands: Fireplace Xtrordinair, Lopi, Davinci and the Tempest Torch. All our products are manufactured in the United States within an 11-acre, Mukilteo, Wash, facility called the House of Fire employing up to 600 employees just thirty minutes north of Seattle. Shift is Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm.
Required Skills and Education
- Minimum of one year of experience with Haas CNC Mills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Understanding of tooling, programming, and set-up of CNC controlled Mills.
- Ability to inspect work produced using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Able to follow work instructions without deviating from standard procedures.
- Have a proactive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability and responsibility.
- Excellent attendance history.
- Physical requirements: ability to stand for entire shift, able to lift up to 50 lbs., and must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
