This position is responsible for shipping and receiving raw materials and finished products. This person reports to the Operations Manager.
Schedule/Hours
Monday-Friday with occasional weekends.
6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Job Description/Function
- Responsible for shipping and receiving of all incoming and outgoing products including raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and operating supplies.
- Ensures raw materials and supplies are staged and ready for processing.
- Maintains control over the inventory accuracy of all incoming raw materials and finished goods. including computer data input for accurate reporting.
- Assists in finished good order assembly.
- Takes all safety precautions on equipment and throughout the facility.
- Completes all paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Assists in microwave room as needed.
- Completes miscellaneous support functions and supports other departments as needed.
- Ensure all work is being complete in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude with all co-workers and outside drivers.
- Maintains a safe, clean work environment.
- Perform duties in accordance with all safety policies and procedures as well as following Good Manufacturing Practices.
Requirements
- Able to work as a team with employees and other supervisors.
- Pallet jack and stand up forklift experience a plus
- Organized and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Punctuality and good attendance
Work Environment/Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; operating forklifts and high lifts when placing raw materials and finished goods in the freezer or pulling meat getting it ready to stage; sometimes high, precarious places; temperatures between -10 and 40 degrees.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
