Quality Control Manager - WDTC

***Position Pending Contract Award***

Provides senior leadership and overall direction for the contractor’s quality, safety and environmental programs; partners with the DPG WDTC Safety Office, WDTC Directorates, and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to ensure cohesiveness with WDTC quality and safety approach; detailed knowledge of desert environment and associated CBRNE test site hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Coordinating with the DPG Safety Office and TRAX Managers.

* Investigating mishaps/accidents when required.

* Developing a broad safety education program through use of programs, bulletins, posters, lectures, and films.

* Coordinating safety indoctrination training for all new employees.

* Coordinating with supervisory personnel to develop safety documentation covering specific work areas or tasks.

* Incorporating special safety requirements to ensure safety when performing special or unusual tasks.

* Preparing and distributing of all necessary reports for accidents/incidents that involve personnel, vehicles, government equipment, or Government facilities.

* Ensures environmental compliance.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Must have a Baccalaureate with at least five (5) years of experience as a Quality Manager on a Government contract; or equivalent years of experience with direct government or contractor supporting government contracts.

* Must have experience in government contracts to include general contract quality management experience in safety, training and property management and general contract quality management.

* Must be proficient in using MS® Project or similar project management software.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment.

* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.

* Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.

* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

* Must be a U.S. Citizen.

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.

* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.

* Must be able to successfully complete a background check.

* Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
