Experienced Construction Sales Representative-Bessemer, AL
Summary of Position:
The Outside Sales/Territory Representative position candidate will sell construction and earthmoving equipment and allied products within assigned area near Bessemer, AL dealership. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with equipment customers within assigned territory.
Provide an exceptional customer experience.
Exhibit knowledge of construction and earthmoving equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, off-highway trucks, backhoes, etc.
Understand construction environments and familiarization of area construction customers and production processes.
Collaborate with construction equipment service, repair, and parts operations.
Expertise of construction equipment inventory.
Document and track sales, contacts and leads through TraxPlus’ CRM tool.
Help coordinate and participate in customers demonstrations, equipment shows, workshops, and trade shows.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with customers, management, and dealership co-workers.
Minimal to moderate travel required within, and occasionally outside, assigned territory.
Responsible for contributing to company goals for profitability, market share and customer satisfaction.
Follow the lifecycle of the sale from lead to delivery and beyond.
Exceed customer expectations to provide equipment and service needed to operate.
Work with company support resources to coordinate the delivery of construction equipment and allied equipment.
Communicate with external customers and suppliers as well as internal resources.
Provide customers with product information and accurate, complete sales quotes for equipment.
Operate within company guidelines to follow protocols for honest business practices.
Attend and participate in all meetings, trainings, and activities as required.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, construction or agriculture related field preferred.
Prior experience representing and selling industry leading, high-value, high-tech construction and earthmoving machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, off-highway trucks, backhoes, etc.
Looking for experienced sales professional with a minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving MVR.
Strong keyboard and computer skills including MS Suite-Outlook, Excel and/or ERP, CRM, HBS, and/or Salesforce.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Exhibit ability to learn and apply new skills.
Ability to perform well independently as well as function efficiently in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment.
Candidate needs great problem-solving skills and must be detail oriented.
Self-motivated, multi-tasker.

The employee is regularly required to sit and stand for long periods of time as well as frequently walk to distant areas of the work facility.
