Job Description
TRB and Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Code Enforcement Inspector to join our team. As a Code Enforcement Inspector, you will be responsible for enforcing compliance with local agency regulations and ordinances, conducting investigations, and providing recommendations for resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of field and office work in support of local agency Code Enforcement, Neighborhood Preservation, and/or Housing programs.
- Conduct field investigations; inspect properties for violations; issue and post warning notices, notices of violation, corrective notices, orders to comply, and related documentation for code violations.
- Prepare written reports, memos, and correspondence related to enforcement activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of the 12th grade or GED certificate.
- At least one (1) year experience providing code enforcement services in a municipal or government setting or equivalent function.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Basic understanding of current construction regulations as applicable.
- Working knowledge of office computer software (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
