Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician - Equipment Specialist to join their team in Blauvelt, NY. As a key member of the manufacturing maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment.
**Salary:** Competitive pay: $30-$35 per hour, with shift opportunities available for First Shift applicants (7:00AM-3:30PM).
**Job Description:**
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and repairs on production equipment, including gearboxes, pumps, air/hydraulic cylinders and lines, process rolls, reclaim and extrusion equipment, and utilities equipment such as air compressors and water chillers systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair 480 volt 3-phase motors and controls.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot failures on equipment.
- Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and repair buildings, equipment, and installed systems, including extrusion, thermoforming, printing machinery, grinders, blowers, plumbing systems, roofs, drains, shop, and grounds equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, piping, floors, and equipment.
- Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (mechanical and electrical) in a production or heavy industrial environment.
- Competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
