What you will do :
Cash Application : Apply customer payments to accounts receivable records in the accounting system.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unapplied payments.
Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure proper application and accurate reporting.
Bank Reconciliations : Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded and balanced correctly.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger.
Maintain accurate records of all reconciliations for audit purposes.
General Ledger Maintenance : Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions to the general ledger.
Account Analysis : Review account balances and provide detailed analysis as requested by the North America Accounting Manager.
Identify and correct any errors or misclassifications in accounts.
Other Accounting Duties : Maintain and update financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the department.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- 1-4 years of experience in an accounting role
- High proficiency in Excel, with the ability to perform complex functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and macros). Experience using Excel to analyze and visualize data is a must.
- 1 years of ERP system experience preferred
