What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Lead - Coater (Tex-L) position at TRCC?
We are currently hiring for Production Lead for our coater line who is responsible for coordinating and supporting daily production activities of the production staff and ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of a given production area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- "Hands on" position with familiarity around urethane coating operations.
- Start-up & shut down of the coating line.
- Properly make machine adjustments to maintain quality critical specifications.
- Coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure manufacturing processes are executed smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the day-to-day PM of plant utilities are being performed. Supervise and aid in general maintenance of the coating line and plant as needed.
- Monitor and enforce strict safety and environmental regulations to ensure the well-being of employees and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Communicate regularly with Production Supervisor and other management and cross-functional teams to report on production progress and issues.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with computerized materials control programs.
- Mechanically inclined with knowledge of proper use hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Maintain a clean work area including sweeping.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, required.
- Minimum of 2 year's experience, required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing on a concrete floor while working at assigned position on the coater line.
- Ability to work in an uncontrolled environmental setting where temperatures can be extremely cold, hot or humid depending on the outside temperature.
- Work in an environment where there are unexpected, sudden loud noises, beeping backup alarms, flashing lights and sudden movements
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times by lifting, pulling or pushing.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds by reaching above the shoulders.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 1st shift with a set start time. End of shift time varies based on schedule for the day.
- Overtime is mandatory from time to time based on business need.
- Work environment is on site. Remote work not offered for this position.
Pay Range
- Starting pay is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience.
