Treasure Coast Community Health (TCCH), a long-established and highly respected healthcare provider with locations throughout Indian River County is seeking a Director of Nursing ( DON) /RN to provide medical services within the Indian River County jail. Correctional nurses get assigned a variety of tasks, starting with maintaining proper safety procedures. They carefully monitor patients' progress and responses to medical treatments, as well as administer medication and maintain properly document patient medical histories. The DON performs many of the same tasks as nursing professionals who work in traditional medical establishments, they aim to provide adequate health care by assessing and treating inmates. The Director of Nursing has the authority, responsibility and accountability for structuring, comprehensive planning, and implementing the Nursing Service Program.
Florida RN or compact license required. CPR required. A minimum of two years supervisory experience is required. Emergency Room, Communicable Disease, with Medical and Surgical experience preferred.
