Qualifications
- Consult with operators and provide Human Resources guidance daily
- Provide analytic analysis of trends within the Employee Relations Department
- Process suspension pending investigation cases, including scheduling, conducting, and documenting due process meetings, interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, including statements, video surveillance, pictures, and any other documents relevant to the case
- Report findings to management of the affected department and consult with management and Employee Relations Management on the appropriate course of action
- Inform Employee Relations Management on pertinent information and any irregularities
- Investigate and evaluate cases of alleged harassment and discrimination.
- Provide guidance and counsel to management on employee-related problems which could result in verbal or written discipline
- When requested, assist with the written disciplinary documentation to ensure consistency in policy application
- Promote direct communication and positive rapport among employees and managers
- Schedule and coordinate meetings with management and employees when a problem occurs to effectively resolve disputes that may arise from interpretations or actions involving human resources, company policy, or contractual language
- Contact supervisors, review relevant policies and objectively document facts and opinions relevant to all cases
- Responsible for the daily administration of Union contracts while maintaining consistency and accuracy
- Process employee grievances in compliance with the grievance procedure
- Provide case information for employee grievances in compliance with the grievance procedure to management of the affected department and Employee Relations Management
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the Employee Relations/Labor Relations field is preferred
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written forms necessary
- Ability to communicate, read, and translate in Spanish preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook necessary
- Organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines a must
- Solid presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills when dealing with business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to TI standards
- Ability to enforce the organization’s policies, practices and procedures
- Must possess excellent conflict-resolution skills
