Marina and RV Park Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY: This is a year-round position to assist the manager with Marina & RV Park operations. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule, train, coach and evaluate staff

• Direct daily work activities and inspect completed work activities for conformance to standards

• Maintain open communications with management and guests and resolve conflicts

• Oversee and book reservations and assignment of Marina slips and RV sites

• Assist guests with slip and site entry, marina fueling and sewage pump-outs and any other services

• Maintain records and perform general accounting functions, including the receipt of daily income

• Clean and maintain grounds, facilities, and restrooms

• Monitor marine band radio and obtain boat information

• Assist with summer entertainment and events at the Marina

• Set par levels for retail items / supplies and order supplies; Manage inventory including receiving procedure, pricing and monthly inventory

• Coordinate materials needed for and attend marina and camping shows

• Input on budgets and capital expenditures and update policies and procedure manuals

• Knowledge of health and safety protocols, procedures and documentation

• Keep Manager up-to-date on Marina / RV Park activities and fill in during manager’s absence

• Enter work orders for maintenance, IT and Advertising needs

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

• 1-year Marina experience; supervisory experience preferred

• 1-year cash handling experience

• Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

• Computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
