Job Summary:
Treasure Lake RV Park is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to assist with the upkeep and repair of park facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills and work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to perform daily maintenance tasks across the park.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems throughout the park.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities (restrooms, laundry, cabins, etc.) and recreational areas to identify and resolve issues.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of roadways, landscaping, and park infrastructure.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance for equipment, HVAC systems, and structures to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
- Report any findings from inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to the Maintenance Manager for further action.
Facility Repairs:
- Respond to maintenance requests from park management, guests, and other departments, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry problems, ensuring minimal disruption to park operations.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Report any safety concerns or violations immediately to the Maintenance Manager.
- Use and maintain tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
Owner & Guest Relations:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing Owners and guests' maintenance-related inquiries or concerns courteously and promptly.
- Ensure that maintenance activities do not interfere with the guest experience.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other technicians to complete larger projects, such as facility upgrades, renovations, or expansions.
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal maintenance activities as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Record Keeping:
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including daily maintenance logs, repairs, and any necessary inventory updates.
- Ensure all work is documented and reported to the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in related fields (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.
Minimum of 1-2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a campground or hospitality setting.
Basic knowledge of building systems, general repairs, and preventive maintenance techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Must be comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding tasks.
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate basic tools and equipment.
