Position Overview: As a 3rd-Year Apprentice Electrician, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside skilled Journeyman Electricians, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial properties. You'll be responsible for learning the ins and outs of the electrical trade, from interpreting blueprints and diagrams to troubleshooting and performing maintenance tasks. Along the way, you'll receive guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals to help you develop into a top-tier electrician.
Compensation: $26-$28 per hour (depending on experience)
Work Hours: Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 5:00pm (with some overtime possible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial properties.
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician.
- Learn and apply troubleshooting techniques for electrical issues.
- Ensure work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and maintenance under supervision.
- Work with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Safely operate electrical tools and equipment while following safety protocols.
- Keep track of progress on jobs and report to supervisors.
- Take part in training sessions to enhance your skills and grow within the company.
Qualifications:
- Currently in your 3rd year of an apprenticeship program.
- Some experience in commercial electrical work is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations is helpful.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to learn more.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA 10 Hour Construction Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.
