Position Overview: As a 4th-Year Apprentice Electrician, you'll be taking on more advanced tasks while continuing to learn and refine your skills. You'll be working alongside Journeyman Electricians to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings. With your growing experience, you'll have opportunities to lead smaller projects and mentor less-experienced apprentices. This role is designed to help you take the next step toward becoming a fully qualified Journeyman Electrician.
Compensation: $30-$32 per hour (depending on experience)
Work Hours: Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 5:00pm (with potential for some overtime)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with and sometimes lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications for electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions with guidance from Journeyman Electricians.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with other electricians, contractors, and team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Operate electrical tools and equipment in a safe manner, following all safety protocols.
- Track progress and document work completed, providing regular updates to supervisors.
- Offer mentorship and support to apprentices at earlier stages in their training.
Qualifications:
- Currently in your 4th year of an apprenticeship program.
- Previous experience in commercial electrical work is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues independently and with your team.
- Desire to continue learning and growing as an electrician.
- OSHA 10 Hour Construction Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.
Salary : $30 - $32
