Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our manufacturing processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient production methods that result in high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria such as efficiency and speed
- Analyze production and machine requirements to identify areas for improvement
- Design and implement effective automated and manual systems to enhance productivity
- Develop and maintain detailed equipment designs and installation plans
- Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources to meet production demands
- Incorporate disparate systems, including equipment handling and transportation, to streamline operations
- Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network performance to maximize efficiency
- Resolve issues and delays in production to ensure timely delivery of products
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers to integrate new technologies and best practices into our manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout all manufacturing procedures
- Upgrade systems and processes with new technology to stay ahead of industry trends
- Develop and document best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
- Perform process simulations to predict outcomes and optimize results
- Manage cost and time constraints while maintaining quality standards
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide clear documentation and operating instructions for all manufacturing processes
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or similar role is required
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design is essential
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques is necessary
- Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations is mandatory
- Experience taking customer prints and creating internal drawings for each manufacturing process is preferred
- Knowledge of process-related standards is beneficial
- Experience in process simulations is valuable
- Working knowledge of process engineering software packages is required
- Proficiency in relevant software, including SolidWorks and CAD, is essential
- Project management skills and problem-solving ability are crucial
- Degree in Engineering; post-graduate degree is an asset
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
