Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role is essential in shaping the educational experiences of our students, encouraging their growth and development through engaging activities and individualized attention.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards, focusing on literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity and exploration.
- Facilitate daily activities that encourage social interaction, emotional growth, and cognitive development among preschool-aged children.
- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs, including those of children with special educational requirements.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns regarding their development.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Experience working with ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for young learners.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in planning activities.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
