What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically proven method that improves behavior through the application of behavioral principles. ABA therapy is designed to enhance vital skills and improve the overall quality of life for individuals with autism and other developmental disorders.
Your Role:
- Deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to clients in their homes.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress, preparing it for review under the supervision of a BCBA (Board-Certified Behavior Analyst).
- Coordinate with other program staff to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of therapy programs.
- Provide regular feedback to parents and guardians about daily activities, and relay their input to your BCBA.
- Implement and adapt individualized ABA therapy programs.
- Communicate regularly with your BCBA to ensure high-quality therapy and support.
- Show a willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback.
- Follow instructions thoroughly and ask questions to ensure clarity and effectiveness in your role.
- Be adaptable, comfortable working both independently and in a team, depending on program needs.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes (we do not transport clients).
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience with ABA therapy or working with children with special needs is a plus, but not required.
- RBT certification preferred, but not required. A 40-hour ABA course is desirable, but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and adapt to the physical demands of the role.
- Willingness to obtain In-Person First Aid/CPR certification and an AZ fingerprint card.
- Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and up-to-date insurance (we do not transport clients).
