About the Position:
The Snowsports Instructor is responsible for teaching skiing or snowboarding to guests of all ages and abilities. This role involves delivering engaging, safe, and effective lessons that promote skill development, confidence, and a love for snowsports. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, and enjoys working in an outdoor environment with guests ranging from beginners to advanced skiers and riders.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:

Teach ski or snowboard lessons to individuals or groups of varying ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced.

Customize lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each guest, focusing on safety, skill development, and enjoyment.

Provide clear instruction and demonstrations, offering feedback to help guests improve their technique.

Foster a fun, welcoming environment that encourages learning and growth on the slopes.

Ensure guest safety at all times, following resort safety protocols and industry best practices.

Assist with lesson scheduling and coordination as directed by the Snowsports School Manager.

Maintain equipment and ensure it is properly adjusted for guests before each lesson.

Serve as an ambassador for Treetops Resort, providing guests with information on other resort activities and services.

Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to improve instructional skills and stay current with industry trends.

Assist with children’s programs, camps, and special events as needed.
Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Strong skiing or snowboarding skills; PSIA/AASI certification (or equivalent) is preferred but not required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and positive attitude.

Ability to work well with children, adults, and guests of all skill levels.

Commitment to guest safety and delivering exceptional customer service.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow, cold, and wind.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak season shifts as needed.
