About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the internal accounting function at Tremendous. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our accounting team. This role will work very closely with the Accounting Manager on month- and year-end closing, establishing accounting processes and documentation, and assisting with our annual financial audit. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the internal accounting function at Tremendous. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our accounting team. This role will work very closely with the Accounting Manager on month- and year-end closing, establishing accounting processes and documentation, and assisting with our annual financial audit. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Daily management of the Accounts Payable cycle
- Daily management of banking activities
- Execute accurate and timely reporting during the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, audit-ready documentation, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Assist with process improvements and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly close and internal control environment
- Assist with annual financial audits
- Participate in monthly financial analysis, reporting, and other ad-hoc projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in accounting
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
