What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Public Works Director position at Tremonton City?
Tremonton City is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Assistant Public Works Director. Pay range is $36.30 to $53.45 per hour based on experience and education. This position reports directly to the Public Works Director and will also work with the City Engineer.
The new hire will perform highly responsible administrative, professional, and engineering work in planning and organizing, coordinating, and supervising construction projects, new utility infrastructure, GPS, GIS, asset management, and projects as assigned by Public Works Director.
Qualified candidates must have a post-high school degree or certificate in an education program emphasizing in a science or engineering program, or a certificate in asset management, construction management, project management, or geographical information systems (GIS). The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years directly related working experience including at least two (2) years as a project manager. Qualifying educational experience may be substituted for up to three (3) years of related working experience. Preference will be shown to candidates having a Water Distribution Certification, Wastewater Treatment Certification, and/or Wastewater Collection Certification.
