Our goal is to establish a Christian School in Trenton, MO using ACE curriculum for Kindergarten and First graders.
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Administrator/Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self-directed to help the school comply with standards for excellence in the first year of this Christian School. Administrative work will comprise 25% of the work. We are looking for a creative leader and teacher to nurture Kindergarten and 1st graders.
**Responsibilities:**
Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum
Assess accomplishment of students on a regular basis
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to provide individual and group instruction.
Keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports.
Communicate with parents through a variety of means including conferences.
Attend required meetings.
Select, requisition and inventory appropriate books and instructional aids.
Supervise students during work day.
Manage classroom behaviors appropriately.
Maintain and improve professional competence.
Keep confidentiality and respect student privacy.
Keep pastor informed of appropriate issues.
Make decisions in the best interest of the school and within board policies to help the school comply with MO Non-Public School Accreditation.
Promote positive relations between the Church and Community.
Work to Achieve School goals adopted by the board.
Execute all policies, rules, and regulations adopted by the Board.
Perform all duties as assigned to maintain order and safety.
Organize and conduct kindergarten screenings.
Supervise maintenance of and complete all required records/reports/legal documents.
Other duties as assigned by the Board.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Previous experience management and teaching
- Proficiency in curriculum development and childhood development principles
- Strong knowledge of math and literacy education
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support to students is a plus
