What You’ll Do:
- Manage Patient Care Iin The Operating Room, Ensuring A Safe, Comfortable Environment for Patients And A Smooth Workflow For The Surgical Team.
- Serve As A Liaison Between Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, OR Managers, And Staff, Promoting Seamless Communication And Collaboration.
- Assess Patient Needs, Recognize Health-Threatening Changes, And Promptly Report Findings to Physicians.
- Prepare, Document, And Review All Necessary Information for Patient Care Accurately and Efficiently.
- Assist In Implementing Physician Orders and Ensuring Compliance with Established Care Plans.
- Monitor Vital Signs, Provide Clear Communication with Patients and Families, And Offer Guidance and Education as Needed.
- Participate In Daily Equipment and Safety Checks, Including Refrigerator Temperature and Defibrillator Documentation.
- Ensure Accurate and Legible Documentation of Patient Progress and Procedural Details.
- Stay Updated with The Latest Standards of Practice and Actively Participate in Training and Unit Meetings.
- Foster A Positive, Professional Attitude and Effective Collaboration with The Entire Healthcare to Perform Additional Duties as Needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Graduation From an Accredited Nursing Program.
- At Least 1 Year of Recent Experience as An OR Nurse (RN).
- Valid, Unrestricted RN License Issued by The Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- BLS Certification Required (Following American Heart Association Guidelines).
- ACLS Certification Must Be Obtained Within 3 Months of Hire; PALS Required For Full/Part-Time Employees (Not Required For PRN Nurses).
