Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Culinary Manager to support our culinary team and ensure smooth kitchen operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in both hands-on kitchen management and administrative coordination. You will assist the Sous Chef in daily operations, from menu planning to inventory management, while also providing essential support to the Front-of-House Manager to keep our service seamless.

- Assist the Sous Chef with inventory audits, regular stock checks, and ordering needs.
- Provide administrative support to the Front-of-House Manager, including menu program preparation and printing.
- Coordinate project planning and execution to ensure timely completion of key initiatives.
- Organize and manage storage units in collaboration with the Operations Manager and department leadership.
- Maintain clear communication with culinary staff, front-of-house teams, and management.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and safety in both the kitchen and café.
- Step into a guest-facing role when needed, including:
- Greeting guests and ensuring a positive experience.
- Conducting quality checks in food service areas.
- Addressing guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- 5 years of experience in kitchen management or a related role.
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe).
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
- Proficiency in Google Suite for administrative tasks.
- Professional business casual attire required in guest-facing or office settings.
- Non-slip shoes required in kitchen/food service areas for safety.
- Ability to lift 10-50 lbs. and move equipment as needed.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and balancing (minimum 8-hour shifts).
- Exposure to fast-paced kitchen environments with moderate to high noise levels.
- Office tasks include prolonged computer use and desk work.
