Maintenance Technician

As a Trex Maintenance Technician you’ll be working in a team environment to support production equipment repairs and upgrades, perform general and preventive maintenance. Design, development and implementation of new products and process equipment.

A member of our maintenance team, you’ll be helping us ensure a productive and safe work environment. Maintenance Technicians roles require both working knowledge and responsibility for electrical and mechanical maintenance duties.

DUTIES

• Repair and maintain preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems including weight feeders, scales, conveyors, hot oil, steam, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.
• Repair all electrical, electronic systems including servo equipment, photo eyes, electronic sensors, temperature controls and combustion equipment.
• Troubleshooting of programmable logic controls including understanding of ladder logic. 
• Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, facility maintenance and preventative maintenance to the facility and all equipment.
• Participate in the management and maintenance of the parts inventory system, including researching equipment to determine parts required.
• Support engineering in the improvement and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep plant appearance at an acceptable and safe manner.
• Working knowledge of motors, drives, control wiring and PLC’s required.

Physical Demands: In this role, you must be able to lift 50 pounds, be able to work from heights, stand for extended periods and climb ladders.

Work Environment: This job takes place in and around a manufacturing facility. This role will be exposed to a wide variety of environmental situations, including a wide range of temperatures.  Position entails a significant of time wearing a harness in a boom lift, up to 30 feet off the ground.  Work may occasionally take place in confined spaces, and employee will be expected to wear the appropriate PPE.

EXPERIENCE

You’ll need to have a minimum of two years’ previous experience in maintenance role but if you’ve worked in industrial or preventative maintenance mechanic, you’re Trex material for sure.
