SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Dining Room Supervisor assists in the efficient daily operation and dining procedure and activities relating to the Trezevant Episcopal Home. The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling, disciplinary actions and counseling of all dining staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Must have knowledge about food safety standards.
- Must be organized and efficient and keep up with daily food orders.
- Must become proficient and knowledgeable with Menu Management System.
- Must show competence in supervising and discipling all dining staff.
- Review, coordinate and set - up for special functions.
- Hire and train all dining staff on service standards: Act as the initial contact for disciplinary issues and communicate with manager.
- Ensure proper plate portions and service of food, attractive plate presentation and correct service or required diets.
- Follow all state/federal regulation and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure all work is completed daily, dining rooms are stocked, check and initial refrigerator logs, check and initial food temperature logs and dish machine temperature and sanitizer logs. Input resident meal tickets into menu system and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Must be able to read, write ad follow directions.
3. Some basic computer skills required.
4. Prior on-the-job training, or equivalent experience.
