What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant / Bookkeeper position at TRG Marketing?
Introduction
TRG Marketing helps small-to-medium-sized businesses and other organizations develop and execute marketing plans through websites, social media, digital advertising and more. Founded in 2004, we have dozens of interesting clients.

Our long-time accountant is retiring so we now seek a new accountant/bookkeeper. A friendly face and servant heart are key. The successful candidate will possess a highly- professional nature, experience with Microsoft Excel, and good communication skills. This role requires that a person understand QuickBooks well or be able to learn the bookkeeping system within a few months. Work would primarily take place at TRG Marketing but some work-from-home is possible.
Who Might be a Good Fit?
• Someone who appreciates flexible scheduling. We can accommodate most family requirements or work preferences
• Someone who can work independently. TRG is small and tends to train in an informal, ongoing way. We prefer to hire people who are self-directed
• Someone who is detail-oriented. This job requires accuracy and organization
Specific Activities (approximately 10-20 hours/month)
· Time sheets—each month, codifying time sheets from TRG staff
· Invoicing—each month, preparing and distributing invoices to TRG clients. Monitoring receivables
· Financial statements—each month, reconciling revenue/expenses and producing income statement and balance sheet
· Financial reports—producing reports, quarterly or annually, on revenue and profitability metrics
· Taxes—assisting TRG’s public accounting firm in the annual filing of TRG taxes
· Office management—if desired, TRG can also have this person handle a variety of office management tasks
This position is 10-20 hours/month. Compensation depends upon experience. The position offers significant autonomy. Work could be completed at any time during a week.
