What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rural Counseling Clinician position at Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare?
Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Rural Counseling Clinician to join our team and provide essential mental health services to adults in the Liberty, Cleveland, and Huntsville service areas. In this role, you'll utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to support clients' mental health goals through therapy, case management, and crisis intervention services.
What you'll do:
- Deliver therapeutic services (CBT and CPT) and Routine Case Management to adult clients, following Texas HHSC performance contract guidelines.
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention during business hours as needed.
- Act as backup for completion of screening, assessment, and behavioral health diagnoses for individuals seeking access to care.
- Manage an active caseload while ensuring progress and maintaining contract performance measures.
- Deliver services in office (Cleveland, Liberty and Huntsville), with occasional home and community visits.
- Create recovery plans, set attainable goals, and monitor referrals to support client engagement and progress.
- Perform initial assessments, intakes, and LPHA diagnostic reviews for mental health services.
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes.
- Attend and actively engage in treatment team meetings to ensure collaborative care.
What you'll need:
- Master's Degree in Human Services related field.
- Current licensure as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in State of Texas.
- Minimum of one (1) year of mental health experience.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certification and Cognitive Processing Therapy Certification within first year of employment.
- Applicants must have a valid drivers license and be insurable through Tri-County.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
