What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Visitor position at Tri-County Community Action Agency?
Head Start - Southern Region
Full-time - Full Year (35-40 Hours per week)
General Responsibility: To provide home-based services for families enrolled in the Early Head Start Program.
Specific Responsibilities: Provide weekly home visits to families, facilitate appropriate child development activities, provide case management support, educate families about ongoing health and nutrition for their family, conduct child development and social service assessments, encourage family engagement, plan socialization experiences, collaborate with colleagues in the Head Start program, collaborate with community resources and ensure any necessary follow-up activities relating to these responsibilities.
Qualifications: Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or related field required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Special Qualifications: Must be skilled in developing interpersonal relationships with families. Strong organizational skills and basic computer skills. Must have compassion for clients and understand children and family’s special circumstances. Must be CPR and First Aid certified. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance. Demonstrate an understanding of everyone’s experiences, every day. Ensuring the delivery of services that recognizes and respects that every moment matters.
