Traditional state pre-k teacher
NORTHern Region: NOrth Providence, RI
Full-time (40 Hours per week) Part Year
General Responsibility: Oversee the daily operations of a classroom and to provide the children with an educational program that is conducive to optimal development.
Specific Responsibilities: Be knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices, planning according to the individual needs of each child, completing education paperwork, conducting developmental assessments and observations of children daily, documenting assessment data in the web-based data management system, encouraging family engagement in the program, conducting home visits, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, providing Responsive Caregiving to all children and promoting the school readiness of children and families in the program.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and RI Teaching Certification in PreK-2 required. Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate preferred.
Special Qualifications: Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. Experience is a must. Demonstrate an understanding of everyone’s experiences, every day. Ensuring the delivery of services that recognizes and respects that every moment matters.
