HVAC Vocational Teacher

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Vocational High School HVAC Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and a commitment to providing students with the practical skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers in the HVAC industry. Key Responsibilities: • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive HVAC curriculum that aligns with MA DESE standards, integrating hands-on training and real-world applications. • Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in HVAC principles, including installation, maintenance, repair of HVAC systems, refrigeration, electrical components, and industry safety standards. • Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and practical skills, providing constructive feedback to support student growth. • Classroom and Lab Management: Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes collaboration and hands-on learning. • Collaboration: Work closely with other vocational program instructors to integrate HVAC skills into broader vocational training, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education. • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in HVAC education. • Parent and Community Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and foster relationships with local HVAC businesses and organizations to support student learning and job placement. • Advisory Role: Act as a mentor or advisor to students, assisting them with academic challenges and guiding them in career exploration and job readiness.
