The Tri-County Technical College Health Education Division is seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative Medical Laboratory Technology Adjunct Instructors. Reporting to the Health Professions Department Head and the Medical Laboratory Technology Program Director. The successful candidates will teach Medical Laboratory Technology courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction for the program; maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement, and assign grades for the program. Classes are offered during the day at our Pendleton Campus.
The Medical Laboratory Technology Adjunct Instructor role is a part-time employment role. Successful candidates will be required to teach face-to-face instruction. Online instruction is not available.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Associates degree with MLT (ASCP) certification or other national certifications (NCA or AMT). Must have adequate knowledge and proficiency in laboratory content areas and have the ability to teach effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with MLS (ASCP) certification. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in a community college; successful experience using a variety of active and collaborative learning strategies; experience implementing innovative assessments to measure student learning; and a demonstrated track record showing regular professional development around their teaching and the discipline.
