Tri-County Veterinarians is a small privately owned, family veterinary clinic serving our community since 1999. We are located 7 miles west of beautiful St. Augustine, FL. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. We see companion animals and farm animal pets.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring that both pets and their owners feel welcomed and cared for during their visits.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist veterinary staff with animal handling and restraint as needed during examinations or treatments.
- Educate clients on proper pet care, vaccination schedules, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and doctors to provide seamless patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology is highly desirable.
- Experience in animal handling or restraint is beneficial for assisting during appointments.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures or critical care in a veterinary setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to triage and manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential for success in this role.
