Tri Pointe Homes Utah is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our talented group as an Operations Specialist

Position Highlights : The Operations Specialist partners with the Operations team on construction activities for all homes and communities. Function as a liaison between departments and responsible for organizing and supervising the construction permit application, issuance, and homesite start process.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with the Operations team to oversee the division's home start process through daily updates received from Construction Managers and periodic field inspections.
  • Provides administrative support for the Operations team.
  • Participate and provide administrative support in weekly meetings with Architecture, Sales, Construction, and Purchasing leadership team to ensure timelines are met resulting in on-time home starts.
  • Responsible for communication to all Trade Partners of upcoming starts and homesite selections for material and mobilization planning.
  • Coordinate the home start lot releases weekly to ensure alignment with the production starts schedule.
  • Provide weekly updates on completed home starts to support the business plan forecasting process.
  • Manages and oversees the building construction application approval process, issuance of permits, fee assessment, and payment processing.
  • Coordinate the division's Permit Application and Receipt Process ensuring permit issuance before home start.
  • Maintain a log of fee structures and payment requests methods
  • Responsible for the coordination of validating and compiling data, filing, and monitoring each stage of the permit approval process.
  • Ensure all project fees are paid before the Certificate of Occupancy.
  • Work closely with Construction, Purchasing, and Trade partners pertaining to even flow and construction start batching.
  • Manage the permit submittal application tracking process and provide status updates to leadership on an ongoing basis
  • Effectively communicate with trade partners and vendors via phone and email
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to address / facilitate issues as they arise
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications :

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required; Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-year prior office experience required, including strong computer usage, and typing
  • Able to professionally perform multiple detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
  • Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One (E-1), and BuildPro preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Must be a detail-oriented team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with heavy volume workload.
  • Experience with reading architectural and site plans a plus.
