What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Technician position at Tri-Power Energy Services LLC?
Summary:
As a Shop Technician, you will take day to day directions and workloads from supervisory personnel. The key function of this position is to perform shop services as SAFELY and productive as possible. This position will work with the Shop Supervisor(s) to ensure efficient quality service.
Essential Functions:
- Budget daily work assignments accordingly.
- Identify Safety risks and the precautions to eliminate those risks.
- Identify supplies needed for the specific job or duty.
- Ability to identify quality work while still working Safe and efficient.
- On call 24 hours 7 days a week except for designated time off.
- Maintain a good driving record.
Education and Work Experience:
- 1-2 years' experience working in the Oil & Gas industry required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Specialized Training such as H2S, Wellhead and any additional training related to their job duties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be self-motivated and willing to work hours needed to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate proper use and safe handling of equipment and tools used for specific duties on well sites.
- Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with all personnel.
- Possess good communication skills, written, verbal and listening.
- Ability to read and interpret SAFETY rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and interpret work assignments.
- Possess basic mathematical skills.
Physical demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, you will be asked to stand, sit, and demonstrate manual dexterity.
- Requires lifting moderately heavy objects (up to 75lbs.) during the course of the workday, using proper lifting techniques.
- Required to work extra hours when needed, including weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
