We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Superintendent / Project Manager to oversee a multifamily residential/apartment construction project in the Charlotte, NC area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain and update construction schedules using Primavera, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software.
  • Utilize MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
  • Experience with app-based construction documentation software (Yardi, Service Titan, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols; OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, enforce safety standards, and resolve field issues promptly.
  • Manage punch lists and project closeout documentation.
  • Source materials and suppliers within the Charlotte area to maintain workflow.
  • Work efficiently from the field or vehicle, utilizing a tablet or laptop for reporting and communication.
  • Ensure all work meets multifamily residential/apartment construction quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project owners, subcontractors, and inspectors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 years of experience in construction project management or site supervision.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Construction Management Degree/Certificate from an established program.
  • Proficiency in construction scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with app-based construction documentation software, esp. YARDI, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols; OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tasks and personnel.
  • Verifiable references in the construction industry are required.
  • Experience with punch lists and project closeout is a plus.
  • Multifamily residential/apartment construction experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable working in the field.
  • Ability to source materials and build relationships with local suppliers.
  • Must pass a background check and urine screening.

Physical Demands:

  • Employee is frequently required to travel to various properties to oversee maintenance projects within the City of Charlotte, NC.
  • Daily movements include sitting; standing; reaching; bending; kneeling; and climbing ladders; operating computers and other office equipment; moving about the properties; and attending on-site meetings and off-site meetings.
  • Employee must be able to exchange information in person, in writing, and via telephone.
  • Employee must occasionally transport up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • The employee works indoor and outdoor and is frequently exposed to weather extremes. The employee may occasionally be subjected to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals (e.g., cleaning solutions, solvents, insecticides), and skin irritants. The employee may be required to use goggles, gloves, masks, lumbar support belts, safety boots, and other personal protective equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Employees must have access to 24 hour reliable phone & internet service. Employees must also have reliable transportation to and from work, as well as, to get to and from multiple work locations based on business needs and assignments. Employee is responsible for providing own basic hand tools.
  • Position may require employees to work overtime, nights and weekends when needed or in the case of an emergency.
