What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Tri-Star Academy?
We are looking for a passionate, nurturing, motivated dedicated full-time toddler teacher to conduct the daily operations of our toddler program. Duties of the toddler teacher include diaper changing, overseeing meal times, interacting with parents, supervising indoor and outdoor play, assisting with nap time and collaborating with other staff to support a strong toddler program. The ideal candidate should have a love for children, display a positive, upbeat attitude, exhibit a patient and warm personality, as well as, be a team player. If you have previous experience in child care, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Toddler teacher will assist in creating an inviting, caring and educational classroom in which the children can learn, develop and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining individual daily routines within the classroom
- Communicating with parents on a daily basis
- Providing age appropriate activities to enhance each child's growth and development
- Assessing the developmental needs of each child on a quarterly basis
- Collaborating with other center staff to ensure efficient operation of the program
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment at all times
- Tending to the individual needs of each child daily
- Completing all required paperwork and training in a timely manner
Requirements:
- 2 years childcare center experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum of a high school diploma
Additional Considerations:
- Degree in Early Childhood or related field
- Knowledge of Keystone STARS criteria
- Child Development Associate Certificate
- Additional college credits in education
