Job Summary :
The Tri-State Health Registration Clerk is responsibility for the coordination of an effective, efficient admission process for all patients by receiving referrals, gathering and verifying pertinent information, and completing necessary procedures to pre-register and admit inpatients and / or outpatients. The position compiles and inputs statistical information into appropriate hospital systems, screens and routes hospital phone calls, verifies insurance and identity of patients. Excellent customer service skills a must. May work under stressful circumstances at times. Must meet established attendance standards and adhere to hospital / department dress code, including wearing ID badge. May be required to work weekdays and / or weekends, evenings and / or night shifts and may be required to work on religious and / or legal holiday.
Education and Training :
- Medical terminology and previous healthcare experience preferred but not required; High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
