What are the responsibilities and job description for the Texarkana AR - NFDS Picker position at Tri-State Iron & Metal Co?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
- Remove Trash and Recover nonferrous metals from moving conveyor.
- Work schedule Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (Saturday's if needed)
- Sort recover material into proper bins.
- Inspect and clean downstream conveyors.
- Cleaning and removal of dirt and trash from the downstream area.
- Communicate with fellow employees on operating procedures and securing material.
- Perform pre and post operational checklist on equipment to maintain optimum operation of equipment on as needed.
- Follow all safety rules of the facility and DO NOT violate the no-walk zone of the Shredder.
- Assist with end of day collection and weighing of all recovered material.
- Perform weekly PMs on motors and gearboxes.
- Follow instructions from the crew leader of the department.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
- Compliance with Employee Handbook
- All other duties as assigned.
