Radiologic Technologist (Full-Time)
Shift: Days (8 Hours)
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, this employee is responsible for preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process of the exam, properly positioning the patient, and selecting exposure factors to capture the appropriate images per the doctor’s protocol. Regular attendance is an essential part of this job.
X-Ray Essential Functions:
Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, this employee is responsible for preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process of the exam, properly positioning the patient, and selecting exposure factors to capture the appropriate images per the doctor’s protocol. Regular attendance is an essential part of this job.
X-Ray Essential Functions:
- Responsible for all aspects of the x-ray equipment, including but not limited to, ensuring that imaging equipment is in optimum operating order and informing the appropriate person when it needs repairs.
- X-ray patients per each doctor’s protocol.
- Positions patients and selects exposure factors accurately.
- Utilizes radiation protection and safety standards. Applies as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
- Evaluates radiologic images for quality and accuracy.
- Documents what views were performed on patient encounter forms.
- Returns patient to the exam room when the x-ray is completed
- Utilizes MedStrat PACS for all image storage, including but not limited to importing and exporting images from other facilities and patients, respectively.
- Performs Annual Lead Checks
Additional Responsibilities:
- Cross covers all diagnostic X-ray areas.
- Works for Urgent Care on a Saturday rotation.
- Ability to float to local offices.
- Ability to work well with all doctors, extenders and clinical staff.
- Ability to work well in a fact paced environment.

Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Active Radiology Technologist License with the Indiana State Board of Health
- Active Radiology Technologist Certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Must maintain minimum requirements for licensure.
